IPTV on Apple TV: What to Expect

A handful of IPTV player apps are downloadable straight from the Apple TV App Store. When that's the case, setup is as easy as installing the app and typing in your subscription info.

Falling back on AirPlay

If no tvOS app fits the bill, running a player on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac and AirPlaying to your Apple TV works reliably and holds up well across the Apple ecosystem.

Installing native apps requires at least a 4th-generation Apple TV running tvOS. If you've got an older model, the AirPlay approach from another Apple device still gets the job done.
